Heather Key is a native of Jeff Davis Parish and a graduate of Kinder High School. She grew up enjoying the outdoors, spending a considerable amount of time in the rodeo arena and as a competition archer.

Heather’s Juris Doctor was earned magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center. Heather graduated cum laude from McNeese State University. Heather also holds a title insurance producer license.

In her boutique law firm, Heather has chosen to devote her law practice to serving those navigating through loss. She primarily focuses her law practice on successions, dealing with death’s aftermath and situating property issues. There is a transactional side of her law firm, whereby she assists those in contractual matters,
collections matters, the preparation of last wills and testaments, power of attorney contracts, property related matters, and other obligations.

Heather is admitted to practice law in all Louisiana state district courts as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Additionally, she has statewide jurisdiction as a Notary Public for Louisiana. In 2020, Heather obtained a Louisiana title insurance producer license.

In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends, making Rosaries, and quilting. In fact, Heather blends the quilting world with the practice of law on Tiktok under the name “The Quilting Counselor” where she posts photos and information on quilting techniques along with law tips and other legal advice.
